Crossway is led by a head coach with a team of qualified coaches. The centre offers a service to enable gymnasts to train to an elite standard representing the local authorities of Bexley and Greenwich, and the London Gymnastics Federation (LGF), at local, regional and national levels.

Classes are provided for recreational beginners and many of these youngsters progress through the centre’s squads to achieve a high standard of gymnastics. Those who cannot obtain an elite level are encouraged to achieve their highest standard according to their ability.

The centre also caters for people with special needs across the boroughs—a service welcomed by carers and physiotherapists. Special needs members find the sport rewarding, while improving their mobility and social skills, they also gain a sense of achievement.
